At The Dr. R. Mathis Wisseh International Nonprofit Education Consultancy, we are dedicated to cultivating home-grown teachers for the Liberian student population. Our program focuses on empowering teachers to provide quality education to the next generation.

Services

Secondary School Student Teacher Training Workshops

These practical workshops and/or classroom practices will indelibly enhance 11th and12th grade students' teaching skills using a well-researched curriculum designed that is tailored to the Liberian student population. 

 

Non-traditional Curriculum Development Support 

This type of curriculum develops engaging curricula materials for effective learning that is inclusive of the four core courses: English, History, Science and Math, as well as elective classes. 

Mentoring and Coaching Programs

This aspect of the program supports LTCP teachers through personalized mentoring programs that help build pedagogy and campus leadership skills.

How can I enroll in your Secondary School Student Teacher Training Workshops? PS?

To enroll in our Teacher Training Classes/Workshops, you have to be an 11th or 12th grader in a public or church high school in either of the 15 counties of Liberia. You may contact us directly or check our website for upcoming classes/workshop dates through your high school registration information.

What curriculum development resources do you provide?

We offer the Liberia Teacher Cultivation Program(LTCP) curriculum, which is inclusive of a range of curriculum development resources, such as  curriculum guides with plethora of teaching strategies, other teacher resource material, ancellary learning tools and expert consultation to help teachers of LTCP students to become accomplished classroom practitioners.

How do your mentoring programs benefit teachers?

Our mentoring programs benefit teachers by providing individualized support, feedback, and guidance to help them enhance their teaching practices and improve student outcomes.

The following is sample feedback from our first nonprofit Teachers In-service/site-based training at the Effort Baptist church school in January of 2024: "The initial workshop has truly made a positive impact on the teachers; these workshops will help revitalize the education system in Liberia.
